Being a lifelong fan of Mauro Malavasi Productions and the GoodyMusic Label, I feel compelled to create a web site dedicated to him and his musical masterpieces. (To my knowledge, no other site exists.) The music of Malavasi has always had a profound impact on me, and in turn, has given me much inspiration for my own creative endeavors. In my opinion, this music represents the perfect blend of SOUND, COMPOSITION, and ATMOSPHERE.
· GOODYMUSIC was a variable amalgamation
of studio musicians from Italy and session vocalists from the
United States led by Jacques Fred Petrus. Petrus, a native of
Guadeloupe, French West Indies, met Malavasi in 1975 while he
was studying at Conservatory of Bologna (Italy). They formed a
production company with the aim of becoming the Italian Gamble
& Huff.
Malavasi and Petrus proceeded to recruit Italian musicians like
Davide Romani, Marco Tansini, Rudy Trevesi, Celso Valli and Paolo
Gianolio, Utilizing their composing and arranging talents.
The First project of GOODYMUSIC produced
by Malavasi and Petrus was a studio concept called Macho, whose
disco cover of the Spencer Davis Group classic "I'm a man"
became a big Eupropean hit and peaked at #6 on Billboard's National
Disco Action Top 40 in October 1978. Their goal was to blend the
soulful, R&B-derived elements of American disco with harder-edged
Eurodisco stylings.
Petrus , the business man, and Malavasi, the music man, menaged
a good lift off for the GOODYMUSIC label.
· All the GOODYMUSIC productions
where recorded at "FONOPRINT STUDIOS " BOLOGNA-ITALY,
and enginered by MAURIZIO BIANCANI later mixed and produced in
the U.S.A. in studio's like "POWER STATION N.Y.", SIGMA
SOUND STUDIOS N.Y. , MEDIA SOUND STUDIOS N.Y. ETC
· The MAURO MALAVASI TEAM not only produced for the GOODY
MUSIC Label. To name some groups MAURO also worked with are;

· Alot of MALAVASI PRODUCTIONS where guided by the GOODY
MUSIC ORCHESTRA lead by Mr. WILLIAM RIGHI (first string)
· All there songs where published by LITTLE MACHO MUSIC.
· The GOODYMUSIC label also lisenced products from other
groups who where not produced by J.F. PETRUS / M. MALAVASI.
· The musical input of the GOODYMUSIC musicians was combined
with the American lyric-writers P.SLADE and F. FLOYD.
· Besides creating the secound album from MACHO, CELSO
VALLI produced alot of other great stuff for other labels. A few
examples of his masterpieces are;

· In 1982 the GOODY MUSIC LABEL ended due to financial problems. It still is a great loss that this superb record label had no possibilities to extend there existence...........
